Coated Fabrics

When it comes to upholstery products, color, texture, durability and cleanability are all vital to the needs of the healthcare industry. Color and texture contribute to facility aesthetics, as well as a patient's healing and comfort. Texture also enhances cleanability, which helps to limit the accumulation of bacteria and other potential contaminants. OMNOVA Boltaflex® coated fabrics, protected with PreFixx® protective finish, feature unparalleled resistance to staining, abrasion, scuffing and burnishing as demonstrated in repeated laboratory tests. The superior stain resistance and improved wear properties help keep PreFixx protected products lookking new longer than most other vinyl upholstery.

OMNOVA's new portfolio of Pinnacle™ performance fabrics feature a non-PVC, polyurethane construction with a soft, luxurious hand balanced with performance. These products also feature PreFixx protection for enhanced wear, durability, cleanability and chemical resistance.

We design and manufacture coated fabrics globally with technology and manufacturing facilities in the United States, Thailand and China. This global footprint facilitates the use of locally-sourced materials.

 

Laminates

Our comprehensive laminate selection provides surfacing solutions for many healthcare applications, including cabinetry, over-the-bed trays, casework storage, hand rails, work surfaces, operatory cabinetry, seating, treatment stations, ceiling tiles and wall protection systems. OMNOVA designs and manufactures a wide range of decorative laminates from low-cost paper laminates to higher performance surf(x)® 3D Laminates, enabling customers the feedom to value-engineer solutions for their products. Flat Laminates and non-PVC Efx™ 3D Laminates are also available for a variety of contemporary style and performance-driven solutions.

With our domestic manufacturing and extensive stock programs, partnering with OMNOVA can reduce your inventory requirements and assist in faster speed to market. For custom designs, our make-to-order products have short lead times and low minimum order quantities.

 

Performance Films

Our extensive manufacturing experience and breadth of materials enable OMNOVA Solutions to produce an array of custom engineered performance films that are used in the production of a variety of healthcare products, including anti-decubitus mattresses, ceiling tiles, chair cushions, finger bandages and wound care, inflatable casts, mattress covers, mattress ticking, packaging, protective apparel and surgical drapes.

Drawing from a wide range of materials and processes, we can partner with you to develop the right product for your needs — including products that meet the most demanding technical specifications, as well as the latest regulatory requirements. Our performance films are available in a variety of materials, which includes rigid and flexible PVC, vinyl alloys (PVC blended with our polymers for performance) and alternative polymers such as polyester and propylene. We also offer a broad selection of textures with over 400 options available. Our custom design capabilities allow color matching from transparent tints to opaques.

 

Commercial Wallcoverings and Digital Wall Murals

The advantages of OMNOVA wallcoverings go well beyond their gorgeous good looks. Specifiers, contractors, facility managers and housekeeping staff find that the functional and performance aspects of our wallcoverings are simply unmatched. Our commercial wallcoverings can be used to set the tone for the environment while protecting the walls from damage. Durable finishes and protective coatings make maintenance and cleaning simple.

OMNOVA designs and manufactures some of the best names in commercial wallcovering, including long-standing brands such as Bolta®, Essex™, Genon® and Tower®. All designs introduced under these brands since early 2009 feature RECORE® Recycled Wall Technology with 30% recycled content, including a minimum of 20% post-consumer recycled content. Wallcoveirng made with ECORE® Advanced Wall Technology offer an alternative to vinyl. This construction is available for the brands Avant™ and Scion™.

OMNOVA's digitally-printed, large-format viewnique® wall murals can turn an ordinary wall into a space, which educates patients and employees regarding the importance of diet and exercises. A whimsical, fun digital mural can add a healing touch to a hospital's pediatric ward.
