OMNOVA Solutions is a leading manufacturer of insolubilizers, sizing agents and lubricants in North America.

Our Sequarez® and Sunrez® insolubilizers, or crosslinkers, may be used in both coating and size press applications to produce temporary water resistance to prevent “milking” on offset printing presses. Our crosslinkers promote controlled-fluid transfer by achieving better ink and water receptivity on the coated surface. This enhances halftone dot definition. Our formaldehyde-free OmnaRez™ 4332 insolubilizer, which improves the coated surface of paper and paperboard, offering enhancements at every step of the printing process. This product is a modified, blocked glyoxal-based resin that delivers exceptional cross-linking, resulting in the reduced water sensitivity of coatings and pre-coats.

Our broad portfolio of sizing agents includes styrene acrylics, stearylated melamines and paraffin waxes.

OMNOVA offers a wide variety of lubricant chemistries, including Sunkote® calcium stearates, Sunkem® polyethylenes and Sequaflow® polyglycerides. Lubricants affect the viscosity, flow, leveling and penetration of the wet coating. Our lubricant products reduce the tendency of the coating to crack when paper is folded, reduce or eliminate calender dusting and reduce coefficient of friction.
