repels™ Specialty Laminates are new, light-gauge 1.75-mil films that provide superior water holdout compared to standard paper laminates. Because of their moisture resistance, they help avoid unsightly – and expensive – water damage. 
They’re virtually impervious to water. There’s no resulting grain raise, swelling or damage when exposed to moisture, so they’re an ideal choice for kitchen and bath cabinets, trim, and moldings – anywhere there is an increased potential for water damage. Plus, they provide an appearance similar to that of HPLs, but at a much lower cost. repels Specialty Laminates can be flat laminated or profile wrapped.
repels Specialty Laminates are available in a virtually unlimited array of prints and colors — including the same woodgrains and patterns found in OMNOVA's popular Paper Laminates portfolio. Though our laminates can be used in many applications, all laminates are sold with the understanding that customers will make their own independent determination whether a particular laminate has the durability and other performance attributes required for the specific end use laminate application – not all laminates are suitable for all applications.
