Lamination to ABS Plastic.
Plastic substrates used in the laminate fabrication process are predominantly an ABS construction. An acronym for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, ABS is a thermoplastic extruded product that can be manufactured to create a hard, firm, even surface. Because it can be easily and cleanly sawn, drilled, cut or ground to create desirable shapes, it is useful in numerous applications, especially as a substrate for flat lamination.
In addition, high-specification laminates, such as our radiance™ Flat Laminates, can be hot-laminated directly to ABS during the extrusion process.
Laminates to consider for use with ABS Plastic include Flat Laminates and radiance Flat Laminates. Applications include profiles, trim, and vacuum-formed component parts.
