Prevaill.
Safety First.
The leading supplier of vinyl upholstery to the school bus industry, OMNOVA Solutions is proud to offer PreVaill® and PreVaill AK® products, specifically designed for the school bus industry.
School bus upholstery applications demand durability,
cleanability and flame-resisting qualities that can help save
children’s lives in the event of a fire or accident. PreVaill
and PreVaill AK meet those needs beautifully and have
become a trusted name in the industry for virtually every quality
and safety requirement.
PreVaill and PreVaill AK fabrics are both flame retardant, but PreVaill AK goes one step further in performance.
PreVaill AK has all the top-of-the-line specifications of our standard PreVaill with the additional advantage of added puncture resistance. That’s because it's made with polyceramic fibers, the same material used in bullet-proof vests. Some states already mandate the strength and durability that PreVaill AK fabrics provide.
PreVaill Fabric Advantages
PreVaill products are durable and tough, making them resistant to punctures and abrasions. The pliable, easy-to-handle fabric repairs easily and a wrinkle-free fit means no sags or seam splitting during installation. Resistant to peeling and cracking, PreVaill upholstery is designed to keep its shape during the harshest of weather conditions, and long life span means lower replacement costs. Additionally, PreVaill passes Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 302 (MVSS302) Flame Test for interior vehicle applications, making the product safe and reliable.
Flame Retardant Properties
Tests have shown that PreVaill flame retardant fabric has better flame retardant properties than many competing products. As a result, it may help provide occupants more time to escape a fire. However, no seating material or product can eliminate the danger of death or injury resulting from all accidents, fires, flame-spread or smoke.
Isn’t it amazing how technology can be incorporated into upholstery? OMNOVA is committed to ongoing testing and product improvements that can continue to translate into improved safety for students young and old.
