A Good Education is the Greatest Gift You Can Give

Supporting education is OMNOVA’s key area of focus through the OMNOVA Solutions Foundation. With a multi-year grant, OMNOVA committed $60,000 to the United Way of Greater Cleveland Club Connect program, which benefited the Warrensville Heights school district located near our world headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio. In addition, OMNOVA employees had the opportunity to give their time and talent as well and participated in a day of service at two elementary schools; Eastwood Elementary and John Dewey Elementary, where they created CLUB CONNECT reading centers.

OMNOVA’s sponsorship went towards purchasing resources to promote reading, including hundreds of books targeted at different reading levels, as well as materials for parents, bookcases, bean bag chairs, rugs and more. Employees designed and created reading nooks for students to enjoy, painted colorful wall murals and assembled bookshelves. The school principals have expressed how much joy the reading areas have brought the students. There is often a wait to get in. The schools also invited our employees to read to their students. It was a treat for both the students and our employees.
