OMNOVA's PreVaill upholstery products for mass transit applications provide a comfortable, cleanable and durable ride in three constructions. These products have been engineered to meet the rigorous requirements of the industry and include our proprietary PreFixx protective finish for enhanced durability and cleanability. Upholstery products can be customized with the help of our world-class design and technical teams to achieve the desired color, texture or optimized construction for a specific application.

We are a recognized global leader in the manufacture of latex for tire cord and MRG fabric dipping. Our Pliocord and GenTac vinyl pyridine (VP) latices provide excellent adhesion of synthetic fabric to rubber. These products are used in conjunction with resorcinol and formaldehyde, as well as other resins to promote adhesion to nylon, rayon, polyester, aramid and glass cords used in tires and mechanical goods. We also offer reinforcing resins, which impart attributes, such as flexibility, retention of plasticizer in PVC, modulus, soft hand, matte finish and resistance to oil, chemicals and extreme temperatures. OMNOVA's Wingstay antioxidants protect tire and rubber goods from thermal oxidation, which helps to extend the life cycle of our customers' products and reduces service life costs. Wingstay antioxidants deliver a range of direct and indirect performance attributes to end-use products, including protection from softening, hardening, brittleness and stickiness.


PreVaill upholsteries for mass transit are engineered to meet the stringent requirements of the industry and include our proprietary PreFixx protective finish for added cleanability and durability. OMNOVA coated fabrics featuring PreFixx resist stain penetration and wear, and most substances can simply be wiped off or by using common cleaning products. They also have been shown to resist discoloration/damage from disinfectants.

PreVaill Transit coated fabrics are an excellent alternative to woven textiles enabling transit operators to have cleaner seats while lowering maintenance costs and improving rider satisfaction.
