Shining a spotlight on Molly Fitzpatrick, OMNOVA Design Consultant

"I strive to connect the dots between the customer and the manufacturing facilities by painting a visual picture of the possible capabilities available."

Molly Fitzpatrick is a textile and surface designer with extensive experience working in mill and manufacturing settings. Supporting OMNOVA as a Design Consultant on all Coated Fabric projects, she is invested in marine, contract, healthcare and hospitality design and color trends and brings distinct palettes and original designs to customers.

Molly’s design career started in a North Carolina weaving mill designing textiles for the transportation, contract and residential markets. After five years of working in a manufacturing setting, she struck out on her own to launch her textile design and consulting studio. In addition to her work for OMNOVA, Molly has a handweaving practice and can be found most evenings in her studio developing weave structures and improvising woven compositions.

As a voracious consumer of culture, art and fashion, which, when combined with her manufacturing experience, create her unique perspective and approach to the design process. Molly strives to connect the dots between the customer and the manufacturing facilities by painting a visual picture of the possible capabilities available. Her design and trend presentations are in high demand and often requested to guide the process.

Delightfully consumed by all things textile, she subscribes to industry news and is interested in all forms of production, especially innovations around sustainable manufacturing processes. She is very engrossed in the intersection of art, design and industry.

Molly lives in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband and two lovely children. They are frequent visitors to the region’s Metropark system, whose trails they hike many times a week.
